What is Pie A Leader? 

Pie A Leader is a charitable event hosted by the Revenue Cycle and HIM Division. The event is held in the Southshore region, at Wrong Iron on the Greenway. And yes, YOU have the chance to pie any participating leader in the face! 

How great is that? And if that wasn’t good enough, all money raised goes to the Ochsner Pediatric Family Assistance Fund, which helps out families in need and their kids for unexpected expenses related to medical care.


How can I participate?

Employees, Leaders, and Physicians can participate by donating, advocating, and attending (if able). There are several ways to donate:

  • T-shirts sales (closing September 10th)
  • Buying Chances
  • Auction
  • Beverage/food proceeds
  • GPT donations

How does it work?

On October 10, 2024, at least 15 participating leaders will have their names randomly drawn from a bucket to get pied.

  • You can increase your “favorite” leaders’ chances of getting pied by purchasing chances for them
  • For every chance purchased, that leader’s name will get added to the bucket again (thus increasing the chances their name will get picked)
  • Leaders also have the ability to remove chances by donating in a likewise manner
       Bonus:
  • All donations through the Pie A Leader donation link will be counted towards the Leave Your Legacy campaign!
  • The Wrong Iron will donate 20% of beverage/food sales during the event, 4:00-8:00pm!

How to buy chances:

  • Search for your "favorite" leader/physician in the participation list below and select them to go to their specific donation page. This will ensure the chances you purchase are placed on your intended leader/physician.
  • Click the donate now button on the leader/physician's personal page
  • Specify your dollar amount / number of chances by either selected the pre-populated options or choosing "other" and specifying in the box provided. Chances are $5 each.
  • If you are a leader or physician removing chances, please ensure that you enter "remove chances" in the notes field.
  • If you would like to make a donation that is not specific to pieing a leader, please click the donate now button on the main page and specify your donation amount.
